Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 7, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines what you may not do with EQVPS services. It is part of our Terms of Service. Violating this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination without refund, and where appropriate, reporting to relevant authorities. We may update this AUP at any time.
EQVPS does not currently perform identity verification at signup. This does not exempt customers from this policy or from applicable law — you remain fully responsible and liable for all activity originating from your services. The following is strictly prohibited.
1. Illegal content and activity
- Any content or activity that is illegal under applicable law.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes minors — zero tolerance, immediate termination and reporting.
- Content or services that facilitate human trafficking, terrorism, or violence.
- Distribution of stolen data, credentials, or other unlawfully obtained material.
2. Security abuse and attacks
- Launching or participating in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks.
- Participating in or enabling traffic-amplification or reflection attacks (e.g. DNS, NTP, or memcached amplification).
- Brute-force attacks, credential stuffing, or automated login/SSH guessing against any system.
- Unauthorized access attempts, port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or penetration testing against systems you do not own or lack written authorization to test.
- Hosting, distributing, or controlling malware, ransomware, botnets, exploit kits, or command-and-control (C2) infrastructure.
- Operating phishing pages or credential-harvesting sites.
3. Spam and messaging abuse
- Sending unsolicited bulk email (spam) or operating open mail relays.
- Outbound mail ports (25/465) are restricted by default. Use a reputable SMTP relay for legitimate transactional email.
- SMS spam, abusive automated messaging, or evading platform rate limits.
4. Fraud and deception
- Fraud, scams, fake stores, pump-and-dump schemes, or any deceptive financial activity.
- Phishing, impersonation, or misrepresenting your identity to deceive others.
- Using the Service to launder proceeds of crime or facilitate sanctions evasion.
5. Intellectual property
- Hosting or distributing material that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Pirated software, media, or license-key generators.
6. Resource abuse
- vCPU is a shared, burst resource. The vCPU number of a plan is a peak ceiling for short bursts, not dedicated physical cores. All plans share physical CPU and have a per-VM cap (
cpulimit); sustained full-load CPU usage may be throttled to keep performance fair for neighbouring customers. - Cryptocurrency mining is not permitted on shared NAT plans, as it degrades shared resources for other users.
- Any activity that disproportionately consumes shared CPU, disk I/O, or network capacity and harms other customers.
- Attempting to circumvent resource limits, isolation, or billing.
7. Network integrity
- Spoofing IP addresses or network traffic.
- Operating open proxies or open relays used to facilitate abuse.
- Running a personal VPN or proxy for your own traffic is permitted. You are fully responsible for all traffic originating from your IP; abuse caused by proxy end-users is your responsibility and may result in immediate suspension without notice.
- Any activity that jeopardizes the stability, security, or reputation of the network or its IP space.
8. Enforcement
We investigate suspected violations and may suspend or terminate affected services, with or without prior notice depending on severity. A credible abuse complaint may result in suspension or termination without refund. Violations of applicable law, or of the requirements of our upstream providers and IP-space operators, may result in immediate suspension or termination without notice. Severe violations (such as CSAM, active attacks, or activity creating legal risk) result in immediate termination. Charges already incurred are non-refundable.
9. Reporting abuse
To report a violation of this AUP, contact info@eqvps.com with relevant details (IP address, timestamps, logs). We review reports promptly.
