Not sure which one? Quick guide
Just want it to work
Ubuntu or Debian. The widest set of tutorials, the most packages, the fewest surprises. Ubuntu if you follow guides; Debian if you want a lean, quiet server.
Enterprise / RHEL-compatible
Rocky Linux or AlmaLinux 9 — binary-compatible with RHEL, SELinux on by default. Migrating off CentOS 7? Those two are the drop-in path.
Containers & tiny footprint
Alpine. ~50 MB base, musl + busybox, perfect as a Docker host or a minimal service box on the cheapest plan.
Latest packages / power user
Arch, CachyOS or Fedora. Rolling or near-rolling, newest kernels and toolchains. You maintain it; it rewards you with fresh software.
Any distro, same 60-second deploy
Pick a plan, choose the OS at checkout, pay in crypto or by card. Root access is handed to you in about a minute.
