IP geolocation lookup
Enter an IPv4 or IPv6 address to see where it is located and which network it belongs to. The lookup runs on our server against a local database.

How it works
The data comes from a local copy of an IP geolocation database that we refresh every month. The address you enter is not forwarded anywhere, so the lookup stays private and does not depend on outside services. You get the country, region, city and approximate coordinates, plus the autonomous system (ASN) and its organization — handy for checking where traffic comes from, for abuse reports and firewall rules. Only IP addresses are accepted: domain names are deliberately not resolved, because that would mean a DNS request from our side. Private and reserved ranges (10.0.0.0/8, 192.168.0.0/16, fc00::/7 and others) are recognized and not looked up — they are not tied to any location.
FAQ
How accurate is IP geolocation?
The country is usually correct; the city is an approximation. Providers announce address blocks from regional hubs, and mobile networks often exit far from the user. Treat the coordinates as the center of an area, not a street address.
Why can't I enter a domain name?
Resolving a domain would mean sending a DNS request from our server, and this tool deliberately makes no outgoing requests. Resolve the name yourself (dig +short example.com) and paste the IP.
