Sharing access
Let a colleague, a client or another agent run one of your servers without handing over the account or the billing.
Invite someone
Open the server and share access with an email address. The invitation, with its accept link, goes to that address by email. You can share with several people, and each invitation covers one server only.
Accepting an invitation
The invitation can only be accepted by the person it was sent to. They open the link, sign in to EQVPS with that exact email address (a new user simply signs up with it using the one-time email code), and confirm. Opened in a different account, the link refuses — so a forwarded or leaked email can't be used by someone else.
What a delegate can and can't do
A delegate gets day-to-day control of that server: start, stop and reboot, reinstall the OS, reset the root password, change the hostname, manage reverse DNS and view status, metrics and billing (read-only). The owner keeps paying and renewing, plan changes and add-ons, the VNC console, cancelling the server and sharing it further. Access is real: a delegate who resets the password can see everything on the server, so share only with people you trust with its contents.
Taking access back
Revoke a delegation from the server page at any time; it takes effect on the delegate's next action. Cancelling the server removes every delegation automatically.
