Backups
Managed Backups: daily off-site copies of your whole server, on-demand snapshots and one-click restore.
What you get
Every night the whole server is backed up off-site. You keep the 7 most recent daily restore points plus up to 3 manual snapshots you take yourself, for example before an upgrade. Backups are encrypted before they leave the host and stay encrypted in storage.
Price
On monthly plans Managed Backups are a $2/month add-on: turn it on from the server page, pay the pro-rated amount for the current period, and it's added to your renewals. On annual plans backups are included at no extra cost — there's nothing to enable and nothing to pay.
Snapshots and restore
From the server page you can list restore points, take a snapshot now and restore any point. A restore stops the server, replaces its disk with the chosen copy and boots it again — everything written after that point is lost, so take a fresh snapshot first if you might need current data. If the backup panel says self-service isn't available for your server's location yet, contact support and they'll check the backup status and restore for you.
Turning backups off
If you disable the add-on on a monthly plan, existing restore points are kept for 7 more days, then deleted. On annual plans backups stay on for the whole term.
