Leaving CentOS 7
CentOS 7 is EOL. Rocky 9 or AlmaLinux 9 is the natural migration — same tooling, still maintained.

Packages are older and the base is heavier than Debian or Alpine — overkill for a tiny bot. CentOS 7 is legacy (marked): EOL, no security patches, only pick it to match a legacy system. Want the newest packages? That's Fedora, the upstream of RHEL.

Rocky or AlmaLinux?
Both are free, RHEL-compatible, community/foundation-backed rebuilds. They're near-interchangeable — pick either; we offer both v9.
Is CentOS 7 safe to use?
It's end-of-life and marked legacy — no more security patches. Only choose it to match an existing legacy system; otherwise use Rocky 9 or Alma 9.
Do I have to deal with SELinux?
It's enforcing by default. For most stacks it just works; if a service is blocked, the audit log tells you exactly what policy to allow.
Which plan fits?
These are a bit heavier — the Small plan gives them comfortable headroom, though Micro works for light use.
