If your workload is Linux-native (Docker, nginx, Python bots), a Linux plan gives you the same hardware for less and without a licence. Windows plans are also BYOL: the image ships as Evaluation and you activate it with your own key — the licence is not included in the price.

Is a Windows licence included?
No — BYOL. The image is Windows Server 2022 Evaluation; after the first login you activate it with your own key (slmgr /ipk, then slmgr /ato). You are responsible for holding a licence with hosting rights.
How do I connect?
Over RDP as Administrator. The dashboard shows the exact host:port — a personal forwarded port on NAT plans, port 3389 on dedicated-IP plans — and reveals the password once.
Which plans run Windows?
Windows-Small and Windows-Medium (NAT, from $11/mo) and Windows Small-IP / Medium-IP (dedicated IPv4, from $28/mo). All have a 150 Mbit/s port.
Is there a console if RDP breaks?
Yes — a graphical console (noVNC) in the dashboard with a Ctrl+Alt+Del button, so you can fix the firewall or password without RDP.
